Fabulous food, and the service was even better. I felt right at home. The server was very informative and helpful in making suggestions. The food was delicious; I had the classic burger, which was cooked to perfection (medium). The fries were among the best I have ever had.

Great food. Love the lunch specials. Fantastic service. Didn't go to the bar but it looked nice.

Basils was packed when we got in there. I figured we would have to wait a long time. We waited about five minutes got served in about 5 minutes ; the food and service was excellent !

Great food! Soon as I walked in the door I felt like I walked into an old school Italian restaurant. It felt very nostalgic. I loves it.

The waitress didn't know what she wa doing. If it was her first day. Then I understand if not, terrible service. Appetizers came to the table undercooked. The entrees came wrong. She never took our menus we had to give therm back to her after our appetizers were sent back to be fully cooked. Just a terrible experience. The food was nothing to brag about with no flavor.

Certainly a place worth stopping over, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the pricing is convenient and it is consistently neat here. Kudos.

We were seated right away but others who came in after us had their drink orders taken by one waitress and brought to them by another who then took their food order. We kept waiting for someone to acknowledge that we were sitting there but no one did....so we got up and left. We've been there before and the food is usually good but there are too many other places to eat in this town to go somewhere you have to get up and ask to be waited on. I'm sure we'll be back but it may be awhile.

Prime rib was excellent service was excellent

Perfect experience from start to finish. Food was beyond delicious. Melissa our server was excellent. Very knowledgeable about menu and specials and very attentive without overdoing. Very reasonable for our meals. Will be returning very soon.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Spartanburg! The food is consistently amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful and you won’t find more reasonable prices for the quality of food you get anywhere else in town. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great meal.

3.8 the food and portion for the price is very good.Id like to see cheese in the salads,and the beef doesn't taste seasoned,although my ribeye was pretty good plus chargrilled which is much better than flat top cooked.i definitely don't think its a 4.4 but overall not that bad and id return forsure to try other items.defintely give this place a try.my meal including entree,salad,and side plus drink =$21.79

Always a fan of Basil's...their peppercorn steak is my favorite . Always love to try the French dip sandwich as well as the Ribeye steak sandwich..so much to choose from , that you can't go wrong ...great cocktails and excellent service ...a must try experience if you haven't yet

Basil’s food quality never changes. We love it!

Food was good. Service was good. When I paid my bill the waitress shortchanged me by $5. This was after she tried to keep all of my change. This will be the last time eat at Basil's.

When asked if this was all we get for fried pickles, the waitress just shrugged her shoulders. The prices were decent and the food was decent but the service and the portions obviously could use a little help. The table next to us got a much larger portion, so I'm sure this isn't the norm. Shrugs!

So happy we stopped here and left a very very busy local place to do so. Very good food, full portions for your dollar. The wait staff was friendly and went above and beyond. This place should be packed every night and not the other. Even my picky teen was pleased! Thank you. Don't forget they have fresh homemade desserts as well!!

Their seafood fettuccine alfredo is to die for!

amazing restaurant. Love the service and the food. Highly recommend the filet sandwich or the southern belle. All around this place is a great one. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant. Bonus: it’s kid friendly!

Didn't get a pic of my food today but it was really good. Had the lunch special...meat and 3. I had country style steak with gravy, squash casserole, mac n cheese, rice n gravy and roll. Food portions were big and very tasty. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs but not overly.

This place always delivers. They have excellent food for affordable rates, there is no waiting time even when the spot is loaded.

First visit to this local place. Went in about 2:30pm on a weekday. Sat at bar. No wait, friendly service. Had the burger, which was good but fries looked and tasted old and werent hot. Not a very good beer selection, mainly domestics.

Friendly staff, my service was very good... I only ordered onion soup and Greek salad and both were very good Good wine selection. A gathering spot for older clientele. It is an older restaurant but clean and pleasant surroundings .

Our family was wanting to try somewhere new that we've never been to so we typed in best places near me and this hidden jewel popped up. There was a convenient board as we walked through a small area before entering the restaurant that told us the specials for the night. When we walked in the main part of the restaurant the first thing you notice is the open kitchen area. The service was extremely nice and met every need throughout the night. They catered to my 16 month old every need along with her "hellos, bye byes, and bite bites". The knowledge and suggestions of the menu by the waiter were top notch and on point. My wife had the petite filet mignon, I had the southern bell prime rib, and my daughter had the kids Alfredo. I would say that the only thing that was bad was my daughter food came out last but it all came out so quick it didn't matter. So overall AMAZING. We would suggest it to family, friends, oranyone looking for somewhere new and delicious.

Nice for a good meal that's leave you with a full stomach. Cozy but also just big enough.

Had the best dinner last night with our bestfriends. Not only did we feel welcome to stay past dinner hours but we were sent a round of drinks "on the house" by the owner and also given green bananas to enjoy this week. Please support Basil's, they are awesome!!

This place never fails to deliver. They serve fresh dishes for fair pricing, there are no long waits even when the place is packed.

Food was average at best. Very bland. You could tell a lot of pre-packaged stuff is used.

What.....happened? Basils's used to be a hidden gem for the best Italian food in Spartanburg. We went in tonight and I was sorely disappointed at the menu with food I can get, well, anywhere. Everything was perfectly lovely, but please, c'mon- bring back what you do best!

Fantastic food and service!

Girls and I go for lunch. My favorites are the club sandwich and the hamburger steak. Very friendly staff. Don't let the hole in the wall fool you. My husband and I go for dinner and the peppercorn steak is great. Not bad priced.

Love their peppercorn steak !! Been going there for 30 years. Nice atmosphere also with some waitresses working there for over 23 years. Great service !!

Great service and a fantastic 8oz. filet cooked perfect !!!

Service was good. Food was okay. Scallops were slightly overcooked. Never seen them served in broth, didn't need the broth. The broccoli was overcooked and bland. I may go back and try something else.

Great service and food was awesome ... i dont pass by it often to make me remember its here but its always top notch when i do. They have good lunch specials too so you cant go wrong noon or night...has laid back vibe and kinda has that neighborhood feel to it. Try it...i promise you'll like it!!!

Nowhere near as good as I had remembered. Great that they had prime rib but after sending it back once, it was still overcooked. Seated way over 50 percent.

I often take my friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The meals are flavorable and the stuff is attentive and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we have a gorgeous evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.
